#4 – With a little help from my friends (and LinkedIn connections)

Thank you. Thank you all so much.
When I started this project – something between a blog and the ramblings of a madman – I
thought it would get about 12 views, including 10 from my mother.
Fair to say I’ve exceeded that by some way.
Audrey Hepburn once said that people have two hands: ‘one to help themselves, and one to help others’. You extended your hands and offered me the world: family, friends, colleagues and LinkedIn connections!
As a result, I excitedly, humbly and gratefully write this the night before I re-join the workforce – even if only for 1-2 weeks as part of the emerging ‘gig economy’!
Not just because of a friend or network – but because of an innate willingness of good people to pull each other out.
So please excuse the brevity of this post as I hurriedly shave and iron my shirt in an attempt to trick my new employer into believing I haven’t just been in my trackies eating garlic bread chips on my couch for the last five months.
But I hope one day I have the opportunity to do the same for you as you have for me.
Please reach out if you need anything. My inbox is always open.
Next week: The Great Gig in the Skyscraper
